Welcome to the American Voters Association (AVA) web site.
To the point of this web site: Despite their differences, all U. S. Senators and Representatives, Republican, Democrat and Independent alike, have one thing in common; They participate in the financial management of our federal government without having to account to "the people, on a continuing and timely basis and in an organized manner, because "the people" have never been organized for that purpose.
Given a $10.531 Trillion National Debt (http://www.brillig.com/debt_clock/) and $53 Trillion in "unfunded federal entitlement liabilities" (http://www.lao.ca.gov/RetireeHealth/RetSummary.aspx?id=348), for a total of over $208,000.00 in debt and obligations to pay future federal entitlement liabilities for every man, woman and baby in America, doesn't it seem at least a little silly of "the people" to have not as yet organized for the purpose insisting on a financial accounting from their political office holders on a continual and timely basis, and in an organized manner? It does to me!
Therefore, the mission of the AVA is to organize 5 million "concerned citizens," - a statistically significant portion of the voting population - for the purpose of having AVA representatives interview every U. S. Senator and every U. S. Representative every month about their financial management of our federal government. We will also interview their challengers in every election cycle.
It is called the "12 Step Interview Intervention Program!"
These interviews will be be taped, transcribed and posted on our web site for members to watch, listen to, or read at their leisure.
The premise is once we do this, all politicians, knowing they will have to answer for their questionable spending and their questionable financial management of our government, will change their financial management behavior, rather than try to explain what appears to be the inexplicable, for fear of being ousted in the next election!

Although you will be asked to pay a nominal fee to cover the costs of fulfilling The AVA mission - $5.00 to $10 per year - you are welcome to join for free. And, nobody will be asked to pay anything until and unless we get 5,000,000 members. The primary goal is to organize 5,000,000 "concerned citizens." We will worry about how to pay the costs of The AVA mission once we get there.
That's the whole program. It is simple by design and historic in its nature. Historic because it has never been done before, and look where that got us!
In summary, you've got nothing to lose by joining. You are welcome to join for free and you will never be required to pay anything. If we reach the goal, you "will" get answers and explanations from your Representative and 2 Senators on a continual and timely basis, and in an organized manner. That way, you can determine for yourself whether their financial management practices are worthy of your support in the next election, or not!
A better educational opportunity doesn't exist in academia and the traditional media simply isn't designed to do this. The choice is yours.
