"Houston, We Have A Problem!"
We, the general public, have a communication problem, and only we can solve it. This problem has symptoms which are costing each of us thousands and thousands of dollars each year, in the form of government Waste, Fraud, and Abuse (WFA).
WFA is all manner of fiscal and financial mismanagement, including unnecessary, "pork barrel" spending, and is a financial threat to Social Security and National Security, since money spent unnecessarily so, by definition, cannot be used for either Social Security or National Security!
Furthermore, WFA is imposing a cruel financial burden upon our youth, with a $7 Trillion Dollar National debt, and so on, and so on, enough to make me sick!
Welcome to the AVA web site. My name is Terrance Bushard. I am a 56 year old resident of St. Paul. I live in the 4th U.S. Congressional District of the State of Minnesota. My mission is to put an end to "politics, as usual!"
Politics, As Usual!
Politics is a process through which financial advantages and disadvantages are distributed throughout society!
Politicians, and political parties are in the business of winning elections, and they will distribute financial advantages and disadvantages in any manner they believe will further their goal of getting elected, or re-elected!
Politicians are not in the business of accentuating the financial disadvantages they distribute throughout society!
Special Interest Groups (SIG's) are in the business of supporting politicians who distribute financial advantages to their interest!
Our Problem!
As members of the general public, our problem is that we are not organized for the purpose of talking to politicians, giving them an opportunity to explain how they decide who will be getting financial advantages, and how they decide who will be getting financial disadvantages, and answer any questions we may have about the financial equity of those decisions!
That is politics, as usual, and, figuratively speaking, it explains why Special interest Groups get the financial elevator and the general public gets that financial shaft!
Do not be confused. Republicans and Democrats are not responsible for creating the political playing field upon which they compete for our votes.
We are!
When we change the political playing field by organizing for the above purpose, politicians will change their views about the wisdom of distributing financial disadvantages to the general public, as it pertains to the best interests of their political careers! And, until we do, they won't.
Fortunately, for those of us who want this change, the internet provides us with an affordable and convenient medium through which we can get together in numbers too large for Republicans and Democrats to ignore!
The AVA Mission!
The mission of The AVA is to organize a minimum of 5,000,000 people on the internet, for the purpose of interviewing every U.S. Senator and every U.S. Representative, as well as viable candidates for these offices, every month.
We will want to know why they are ineffective when it comes to protecting the American Public from the high cost of WFA, which, as mentioned earlier, includes all manner of fiscal and financial mismanagement, and is a financial threat to Social Security and National Security, and is imposing a cruel financial burden upon our youth!
In short, we are going to talk about who pays, and how much?
These interviews will be taped, transcribed and posted on the AVA web site for our members to review at their leisure.
The interviews will start 90 days after 5,000,000 people commit to join The AVA.
An $8.00 Risk Free Bet!
For all of their differences, Republicans and Democrats will do or say most anything, in order to get elected or re-elected. Most anything, includes effectively protecting the American public from WFA, if they believe it is in the best interests of their political careers to do so!
The bet! The bet is that when 5,000,000 of us pay the $8.00 AVA annual dues, for the purpose of financing The AVA's mission of conducting monthly interviews, Republicans and Democrats will miraculously find ways to protect us from the WFA'ers in Congress, thereby saving each of us thousands of dollars each year in unnecessary WFA spending, because they want to get elected, or re-elected!
The risk free part of this bet! If The AVA never achieves commitments to join from 5,000,000 of America's most reasonable voters, nobody will pay the $8.00 AVA annual dues, because the dues will not be payable until 5,000,000 people commit to join!.
It is up to us to get together in numbers large enough to convince both Republicans and Democrats, that financially abusing the American public is no longer in the best interests of their political careers.
That's my plan for financially accountable politics! My plan solves our communication problem! It is affordable, convenient and organized! It is educational There is no downside in being a better informed voter!

When we complete the construction of this new political playing field, politicians will develope new attitudes about the wisdom of practicing politics, as usual, which looks to me like intergenerational theft, because they want to get elected or re-elected!

We are going to converse with some of the most intelligent people in our country, every U.S. Senator and Representative, every month, and they are going to answer our questions!
I hope every parent realizes that my plan, simple as it is, will be the best educational tool available to them, as it pertains to teaching their children about the world in which they live, as well as being the best tool available to them in terms of not inadvertantly voting for a politician who would, in turn, bury their children in debt, with wasteful, fraudulent and abusive spending, and fiscal and financial mismanagement.
